So on Saturday
I finished up the last
of my grad school coursework.
It was incredibly anticlimactic
since I just submitted
my final paper online
like all the rest of my assignments.
I looked at Z and said,
I just finished grad school.
What do you want for supper?
Don't get me wrong,
I'm very glad and relieved
to be done with grad school.
It just feels strange,
& I'm trying to figure out what to do
with myself while I look for a job.
I really like cooking, so I'm starting there.
Since Saturday evening,
I've already made some amazing
spicy Egyptian lentil stew with brown basmati rice,
lemon-basil penne & peas,
and a yummy batch of hummus.
Unfortunately
I'm finding my camera
& poor kitchen lighting
to be incompatible, so I don't have a lot
of food shots. I'm working on this.
I'm also going to be picking up
some new yarn & crafting supplies,
so I'll post about those projects soon!

Hey Hannah! Just wanted you to know that I love reading your blog and seeing the fun pics from California. Am so happy you finished grad school! I finish in May (MA in Romance Languages, Concentration Spanish) and my husband is doing LIS through UNCG. Keep us posted on your job search! I think Andrew might need some guidance and inspiration when he graduates, his only goal right now is to be in an academic library... where, who knows :o)
love,
steph
Cooking is always a good place to start when you're not sure what else to do. :) Congrats on finishing grad school!!!!
(ps, in your cooking adventures, let us all know when you find a good mushroom soup recipe, i'm looking for one...)

Ps: I am hosting a stunning leather clutch GIVEAWAY today, just in time for Holiday Parties
Cooking is relaxing.... and, stress free, sometimes! I had the same issue with the lighting in the kitchen. I will touch base with you about how I tried to solve it.
Congratulations on your accomplishment!
