California Adventures

I recently got the chance to go to California

for a conference, so I took advantage of the locale

to see some pretty places and some good friends.

Some of my favorite people...

And I took myself right over to Disneyland!

The conference was great, too!

In addition to meeting other fabulous librarians, 

learning a ton, and picking up new ideas for work, 

I got to meet Sherman Alexie...

And Dan Rather, among others!

The convention center fire alarms went off one morning,

and 20,000 librarians evacuated the building

in what had to be the most orderly process ever.

My only regret is that I didn't make it to 

In-N-Out Burger this visit.
