And the winner is...

Mega points to Matt
for being the first to comment
on the Where's Waldo
pic from the previous post!

I saw him in the park
where he took a quick turn
and almost
disappeared into the crowd
before I got a picture.

Yes.

Meanwhile...

Z & I are pretty swamped
with packing and getting
ready to move to
California, so it has been
difficult to post much.

I have been taking photos, though.
Here is a rather random
assortment of the past weeks
since I got back from ALA.

My co-worker Alison is at the keyboard
for her awesome band
The Scotland Yard Gospel Choir.

Yay! Friend Jaime!

The LoC

While in DC for ALA,
I had the privilege of visiting
the Library of Congress
for an open house in
several of their reading rooms.

I loved seeing the Special Collections
(no photos allowed),
the rare children's books,
and a few others.

Then the main
Reading Room was opened
just for us librarian-types
after hours, free to roam
around with our cameras in tow.

So cool.

The conveyor belt that helps get material
from the closed stacks to the readers.

After my LoC visit I took
a stroll across the street
to enjoy the view of
the Capitol.

Pics from ALA in DC

I just got back from ALA in
Washington, DC. It was an
awesome experience, but
I'm pretty exhausted, so here are some
